Purwa Aswa Purba Monument
When you arrive at Bandung train station and get out via the Jl. Stasiun Barat main gate, you will see this ancient locomotive statue, named Monumen Purwa Aswa Purba. This monument was built by Hartmann and inaugurated on 28 September 1992 by Mr. Anwar Suprijadi, the Head of Perumka, now PT. Kereta Api, the Indonesian Railway Company. The number “TC.10.08” as it written on the monument has its own meaning. T stands for tramlok (non standard gauge), C means its driving wheel has diameter of 600 mm. In the old days, this locomotive used to be deployed between Cikampek and Karawang, West Java.

Monument Bandung Lautan Api
The tallest monument in Bandung in remembrance of the battle between Dutch troops and Indonesians on 25 March 1946. The Indonesians burnt down and destroyed the southern part of Bandung as a strategy to fight against their aggressor. It is located inside the Cikuntra Memorial Park, just across from Sri Baduga Museum.

There are plenty of trees planted around Monument Bandung Lautan Api by the local government and they also provide information on kind of trees available there. Monument Bandung Lautan Api has a big open space, therefore local residents usually do exercises around this monument, especially on weekends.

|How to get there||:|| From Bandung train station, take an angkot that goes to Cibaduyut and stop at the junction of Jl. Otto Iskandardinata and Jl. Ibu Inggit Ganarsih (fare: Rp. 3,000, about 20 minutes journey). From there continue by short walking distance approx. 400 meters to Tegalega City Park
From Kebon Kalapa terminal, take an angkot that goes to Dayeuhkolot and get off at Tegalega City Park (fare: Rp. 2,000, about 5 minutes away)
|Remarks||:||dogs are not allowed. Street hawkers available here. On Sunday, usually Monument Bandung Lautan Api becomes crowded and dirty (trashes almost every where). Beware of pickpockets around Tegalega City Park.|
Monument KM BDG 0+00
This ancient roller monument symbolizes a moment where H.W. Daendels, the Governor General of Dutch East Indies, stuck a wooden rod into the ground in 1810, where the roller is currently standing, after completion of part of the "Groote Postweg" (Great Post Road) work. He then said "make sure that when I return, I see a new city is built right here".

Monument Perjuangan Rakyat Jabar
Built in 1995, this 14-meter (46 feet) tall monument is meant to commemorate a battle in West Java called the "Bojong Kokosan war" during Indonesia's early independence days.

There is a little museum built inside Monument Perjuangan Rakyat Jabar, which was opened in 2010. The museum displays historical pictures of Bandung, replica of primordial man in Pawon Cave, reliefs of the battle of “Bojong Kokosan”, and it has also a diorama room. Unfortunately all information is written or explained in either Bahasa Indonesia or local dialect.

|How to get there||:|| By angkot: Kalapa-Dago line, take the one that goes to Dago and get off at the junction of Jalan Sulanjana and Jalan Ir. H. Juanda (Jalan Dago). It takes about 5 minutes from around Jalan Merdeka (fare: Rp. 1,500 to Rp. 2,000). From this junction, take another angkot heading to Cicaheum terminal (Ledeng-Cicaheum line). Stop right in front of Gedung Sate (fare: Rp. 2,000 for about 5 minute ride). Continue on foot to the monument. From Jalan R. E. Martadinata, take an angkot that goes to Dago (Riung Bandung-Dago line). After 8 minute journey, you will stop next to the monument (fare: Rp. 2,000)
By taxi: from around Jalan Asia Afrika it should cost you about Rp. 30,000

Statue of Football Player
A 2.5m high statue picturing a football player of a big local team, Persib, built by a sculpture Bandung artist, Nuarta. It is made of copper & brass and was erected in 1990. This statue resembles a figure a well known local football player in the 1980s Ajat Sudrajat, because of his skills and achievements. In 1986, Ajat successfully led his club Persib to won the President Trophy in Indonesian football league.

Statue of Pasteur Verbraak
Pasteur Henricus Christianus Verbraak (1835-1918) was an army chaplain of the KNIL (The Dutch East Indies Army) when he was on a duty to Aceh (northern part of Sumatra) from 1874 to 1907. He died on 1 June 1918 in Magelang because of debilitating eye disease.
This bronze statue was made by a Dutch sculptress, Gerharda Johanna Wilhelmina Rueb and located in the lush gardens of the Taman Maluku. Visitors can see the statue of Pasteur H.C. Verbraak holding a book with a brief explanation just below the statue.

Statues of Student Soldier and Women Soldier
Two statues in commemoration of Indonesian students and women soldier whose also fought against the Dutch together with the Indonesian arm forces. These statues were built by Sunaryo (the founder Selasar Sunaryo Art Space) The women soldiers statue itself was inaugurated by the former major of Bandung, Husein Wangsaatmaja on 10 November 1981. Unfortunately, no further information describes about these statues.
