Katara Beach

Katara Beach is one of the latest attractions built in Doha that was opened in the late 2010. Located in the Cultural Village, this approximately 500 meter long (530 yards) golden beach is open for public however, unlike public beaches in top hotels, a few restrictions apply here.

The Doha government extended the beach area, so that it has a stretch of 1.5 kilometer long nice looking beach (about 1650 yards). This was done to anticipate growing demands from local residents especially during weekends or public holidays.

Although some people consider the admission fee is “too expensive”, at least Katara Beach is still a good weekend getaway destination for the local residents and tourists, along with other facilities within the complex. See details below.
