Shopping Malls | Traditional Markets & Souqs
Doha offers plenty of shopping opportunities, from small computer gadgets to heavy furniture, from clothes to curtains. However their collections may not as comprehensive as in other big cities or as cheap as you may find in other countries.
Location wise, mostly these shops are clustered in a particular area in Doha. Depending on what you are looking for, for instance computer items can be found in a building attached to Grand Mercure hotel, while curtains or furniture can be found in Salwa Road or Al Asmakh Street.
Shopping Malls
Doha shopping malls are relatively modern and big. Almost all malls in Doha, except Villagio Mall, apply “family day” on Friday and Saturday, which means only visitors with family or female visitors are allowed to enter the building. Daily opening hours are normally between 10am till 10pm, except a few shopping malls that open a bit late on Friday (see the list below).
Most of the time malls are quite convenience during weekdays but can be crowded on weekends. Car parking is currently still free of charge. A few of shopping malls in Doha are listed below.
