The 8th Angkor Photo Festival
The annual event, Angkor Photo Festival will be held again this year on 1-8 December 2012 in Siem Reap. The festival is consists of a series of exhibition, slideshows, and outdoor activities, as well as workshop for young Asian photographers and underprivileged children. Many photographer professionals from all over the world will participate here. The 8th Angkor Photo Festival will take place in some places in Siem Reap, such as at Angkor Photo Gallery, Garden of Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor, Wat Athvea Pagoda, and so on. Pchum Ben Festival
Pchum Ben Festival or Ancestor's Day Festival is a time where Cambodian people pay their respect to their ancestors by visiting pagodas throughout cities, such as in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. This festival is usually held on the fifteenth day of the tenth month of the Khmer Calendar. And this year, Pchum Ben Festival will be conducted on 14-16 September 2012. On these three days, Cambodians will usually go to the pagodas by wearing traditional costumes and bring local food, such as "nom ansom" (a sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves), amok (a steamed fish with spices and herbs wrapped in banana leaves), and so on. So, come and see traditional festival in the Khmer land!
The 3rd ASEAN Social Forestry Network (ASFN) Conference
ASEAN Social Forestry Network's (ASFN) representative for Cambodia in collaboration with ASFN Secretariat and partner and civil society organizations (CSOs) will host and organize "the 3rd ASEAN Social Forestry Network (ASF) Conference" on 10-15 June 2012 in Siem Reap. ASFN is an ASEAN organization established in 2005, to promote Social Forestry policy and practices, contribute to the goal of food security through sustainable, efficient and effective use of land, forest, water, and aquatic resources, by minimizing the risks and impacts of climate change. This year’s theme is "Strengthening ASEAN Civil Society Engagement on Social Forestry and Climate Change". Visakha Bochea 2012
Visakha Bochea day (Vesak day) is a major religious day for Buddhist followers all over the world, as well as in Cambodia. Visakha Bochea in Cambodia is celebrated on 5 May 2012. Khmer people celebrate this religious day by going to pagodas and doing other interesting activities, like watching Cambodian monks march and so on. Furthermore, Visakha Bochea day is usually celebrated by many colorfully decorated pagodas and flowers. So, come and feel the Vesak day in Khmer!
Khmer New Year Festival 2012
Khmer New Year 2012, which will be held for three days, starting from 13 April to 15 April 2012, usually will be fulfilled with various interesting activities throughout the cities in Cambodia, such as Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. This celebration is divided into 3 parts: Moha Sangkran on the first day, Wanabot on the second day and Leung Sakk on the third day. There will be many attractions, such as traditional games like Joal Chuung (throwing a type of long tail cushion), Bos Angkunh (bowling large fruit seeds, called 'Angkunh'), and Teanh Proat (tug of war), traditional dances and musics performances, visited the pagodas, as well as decorated houses and buildings throughout the cities. Christmas and New Year’s Eve 2011
To celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve 2011, a few numbers of hotels and restaurants in Siem Reap create some special events and gala dinners in their own places on 24-31 December 2011. There will be some art performances and the other attractive events, and so on. Angkor Wat International Half Marathon 2011
This year's Angkor Wat International Half Marathon will be held on 4 December 2011 in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Apart from the marathon, it has also a few other interesting events. 7th Angkor Photo Festival 2011
The 7th Angkor Photo Festival 2011 presents photographs taken from around the world through a photo contest. This festival will be held on 19-26 November 2011 and exhibit around 110 photographers' works, where 50 of them come from Asia. Please click here for more details.
Angkor Art Explo
This three weeks festival will bring a deep exploration of Angkor contemporary artists and international by exhibitions, performances, workshops and so on. Angkor Art Explo will be held on 29 October till 19 November 2011 in a few spots, in two “art cities” of Cambodia, Battambang and Siem Reap. This festival is consist of three major parts: The Roots (exhibitions and performances arts in Battambang); The Journey, mobile art exhibitions in some places along Battambang-Siem Reap (about 175 kilometers or 109.4 miles distance); and The World (exhibitions and workhops from local artists and international in Siem Reap). Angkor Amateur Open 2011
The Angkor Amateur Open 2011 golf tournament will be held on 5-7 August 2011 at the Angkor Golf Resort. The Tournament is open to amateur golfers with handicap index 28 or below for Men and handicap index 36 or below for Ladies based on the USGA handicap System as of August 2011. Khmer New Year Celebration
This celebration was held on the second week of April (14-16 April 2011) and consisted of performances of traditional dances and musical theater in many places in both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open 2010
The 4th Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open was held from 9 to 12 December 2010. This US$ 300,000 Asian PGA Tour was held at the Phokeethra Country Club. The tournament was started in 2007 and an American golfer, Brayn Saltus was the first winner of the tournament. In 2009, Marcus Both of Australia grabbed the first place, followed by Shaaban Hussin of Malaysia and the 2010 winner is Anirbah Lahiri. For further information please visit: Phokeethra Country Club.
