Bangka Island offers great white sand beaches with crystal clear water and beautiful views. There are also a few supporting facilities in some beaches. The good thing here is most of the beautiful beaches stay as public beaches, in other word it’s free.
Public beaches in Bangka Island are mostly visited by local residents in the late afternoon on weekdays or on weekends – there will be more people on weekends. While some people might just hang around the beaches, other might go for swim (often you will see them wearing their clothes while swimming or playing in the water). Seeing people lying on a beach is not a common thing here in the island, and women in bikinis are also uncommon views.
Most beaches in Bangka are not reachable by angkot (see transportation section for more information on them). Therefore, you will probably need to go by private transportation or to rent a car.
Pasir Padi Beach
