Located in Rempang Island, Melayu Beach is stretched about 2 kilometers long and mostly visited by local families on weekends and public holidays. Just like other beaches in Batam, it has a clear blue water and soft sands. During low tide, the beach is "extended" to around 50 meters and usually "utilized" by the children to play with the sand, such as building sand castles.

There are water sports facilities in Melayu Beach, such as banana boat, which will cost you Rp. 100,000/6 person; buoy tires Rp. 5,000 (small), Rp. 10,000 (medium), Rp. 15,000 (big) per tire. Sometimes you will see the locals playing soccer or volley on the beach, as well as swimming here. Some of the locals may just sit down on mats under the trees while having lunch with their families. A big gazebo (can accommodate up to 50 person) is also available for rent at a cost of Rp. 350,000, while small gazebos will cost Rp. 100,000 (for weekdays) and Rp. 200,000 (on weekends).



Location : Kalat Rempang, Rempang Cate Village, Galang Subdistrict (located about 23 kilometers away from Barelang Bridge I)
Operating hours : daily, morning till sunset
Entrance fee : Rp. 5,000/person
Facilities : gazebos, warungs, musholla (a prayer room for Muslims), mini shop, toilets, watersport facilities
How to get there : by private transportation is around 15 minutes from Barelang Bridge IV
