Many locals like to swim, to enjoy fresh air and clear sea water here. Tire buoys are available at a cost of Rp. 10,000 (medium size) and Rp. 30,000 (big size) per tire. Other water sport activities are also available at a cost: banana boat Rp. 25,000/person, canoe Rp. 50,000/hour (yellow canoe) and Rp. 100,000/hour (red canoe). Gazebo rental Rp. 75,000 (from 6am-6pm). Unfortunately, there is no warung or restaurant here. So it is suggested to bring own snack, food, and drinks from home or get them in Batam downtown.

Staying overnight on Mirota beach is also one good choice for you to take a rest and to get far away from the crowds in town. There are some wooden and modern beach resorts, with price starting from Rp. 350,000-Rp. 700,000 per night.
