Kek Pisang Villa

Kek Pisang Villa is considered as a “local snack-souvenir” of Batam, and it was established by a wife-and-husband Selvi Delyandri Deny Nurlia in 2007. The history stated from a home industry, and currently Kek Pisang Villa already has 9 outlets in Batam city, as in Nagoya, Batu Aji, Batam Center, Batam Hang Nadim International Airport, etc.

As its name, Kek Pisang Villa is offers various banana cakes. There are 9 flavors available here, ranging from the original flavor, black forest, pandan cheese to the dragon fruit. Besides banana cakes, Villa also sells other typical snacks of Batam, such as “bingka” with different flavors (pandan, dragon fruit, strawberry, and so on). Apart from cakes, Villa also has souvenirs t-shirts and key chains for sale in its stores. Various chocolates and snacks imported from Singapore and Malaysia can also be purchased here.

How to get there : by angkot: from Ferry Terminal Batam Center or Mega Mall Shopping Center take “Jodoh-Nongsa” line (pink or white) and stop at intersection of Jl. Engku Putri (in front of The Great Mosque Batam). Fare: Rp. 3,000 only in 5 minutes ride. From there continued by a short walk to the west for around 3 minutes. The shop is located the left side of the road

[email protected] was founded by Rosnendya Wisnu Wardhana in 2009. It is a gift shop that is famous for its cakes: “grilled bingka”, and other Malay cakes, as well as pastries of anchovies (anchovy fish wrapped in flour, then fried until crisp). There are a few flavours of Bingka cakes, dragon fruit, black forest, strawberry, sweet corn, and so on. Apart from selling cakes and cookies, Nay @ Dam also sells banana cakes, imported dishes from Singapore and Malaysia, as well as t-shirts and key chains.

Nay @ dam has several stores in several places in Batam, such as in Nagoya, Tiban, Batam, Penuin, and Hang Nadim International Airport.

Kek Buah Naga “Aroma”

Kek Buah Naga Aroma is one of the oldest souvenir shops in Batam. They have been in the business since 1940s, started by Hj. Rosneli. It begun as a home industry. Although it was famous in the 1980s, there were affected by the stiff competition in the middle of 1990s, so that they had to close the shop for a few years.

In May 2011, Benny Saputra, the grandson of Hj. Rosneli restarted his family business. He makes dragon fruit cakes with many flavors, such as chocolate, strawberry, cheese, almond and so on. The shop buys their dragon fruits from local plantation around Barelang.

Currently Aroma’s dragon fruit cakes are available in many places around Batam, such as in Nagoya, Purimas and Seipanas (Batam Center). They have also outlets in a few seaports and Batam airport. As other cake shops in Batam, they also sell snacks from Malaysia and Singapore.

Kek Durian “Felicia”

Kek Durian Felicia was founded by Nusiwandi in 2009. They mostly sell local cakes that made of durian fruits. Every day they use 15 kilograms of durian fruits, bought from as far as Medan in North Sumatera province.

Mutiara Rasa

Mutiara Rasa is another souvenirs shop of Batam. Just like many other souvenir shops, it sells mostly local cakes, banana cakes, dragon fruit cakes and many others. They said their cakes are low in calories. Apart from cakes, it also sells key rings, t-shirts, a replica of Barelang bridge (made of wood).
