Bandung Festival 2009. Celebrating Bandung 200 years anniversary, this festival will commence on 25 September 2009 for one month. Angklung parade, Jazz festival and so forth will be conducted in separated areas through out Bandung, for instance from 10-11 October 2009 there will be a few events held along Jalan Braga. Kemilau Nusantara 2009. Will be held in Lapangan Gasibu (near Postal Museum or Geology Museum) from 15 to 18 August. There will be traditional arts parade, photography contest, tourism exhibition, etc. For more details please contact: +62 22 7271724.

Japan Festival 2009 "Japan van Java". An all about Japan festival, exhibition, carnaval, arts, culture and music. Held from 20 to 22 Januari 2009 at "Lapangan Gasibu".

Traditional Wedding Exhibition. Held from 13 to 15 Februari 2009, located in "PUSDAI Bandung" Jalan Diponegoro, there will be an exhibition of Indonesian traditional weddings, where visitors can see many traditional wedding costumes (Sundanese costumes, Javanese, Minangkabau, etc), its accessories and also traditional food that is usually eaten during traditional wedding parties.

Malam Bakudapa or "meeting event". This will be one of the events in welcoming the new year, held yearly from December to January.

Sail Bunaken 2009. 12-20 August 2009. Will be held in Bitung and Manado with a few agendas, such as Fishing Competition (14-16 August) at Manado Bay, Diving Competition & Festival (12-17 August) with a few programs such as National Diving Competition, Underwater Photography Contest, Clean Beach and Ocean Campaign, Underwater National Flag Hoisting. Tomohon Flower Festival (TFF). A yearly festival held in Tomohon (south of Manado) that also offers traditional dances and music shows. This coming festival will consist of Tournament of Flowers, Indonesia Queen of Flowers and National Religious Choir Festival. Due to a few reasons, the local government of Tomohon decided to cancel the 2009 festival, which was initially planned in July 2009. Click here for their contact details.

World Ocean Conference 2009. 11 to 15 May 2009. A conference which was attended by ministers and high level government officials and so forth in relation to the impact of climate change on the state of the world's oceans, etc. There was opportunities for experts, NGO members, and journalists to discuss and establish measures for resolving climate change related problems in the marine and coastal environment... Phnom Penh & Siem Reap, Cambodia

Water Festival. Will be held from 1 to 3 November 2009 in Tonle Sap river in Phnom Penh. Hundreds of boats will participate in this Khmer's New Year festival. There will be fireworks, carnival and many other public performances as well.

Orchestra Concert. Tübingen Chamber Orchestra of Germany, which was founded in 1957, will hold a concert in September 2009. From 2 September 2009 to 5 September 2009 the Tübingen Chamber Orchestra will be in Phnom Penh. The orchestra will also tour around southeast Asia, such as to Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand. Contemporary Arts of Cambodia Exhibition. Up to 6 June 2009. An exhibition of Cambodian contemporary painting held by Centre Culturel Français (CCF) in Phnom Penh. International and local painters exhibit their paintings. Contact address: CCF, No. 218, Kéo Chea Street, Phnom Penh.

Giant Puppets Parade. Was held on 25 April 2009. A giant puppets parade held annually in Siem Reap, involving 10 giants puppets, such as Hanuman puppet, NGOs and local children on Siem Reap streets. Next year parade is expected to be bigger and involving more artists.

Tini Tinou. An international Circus Festival in Cambodia, was be held in Phnom Penh on March 27th at 7pm at Centre Culturel Français and on March 28th at 4:30pm at Show Wat Botum. Khmer New Year Celebration. April 2009, traditional dances and musical theater in many places in both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

The Legent of Angkor Wat. Held from 5 December 2008 to 31 January 2009. A performance that describes audiences the exploration of Angkor Wat by a French naturalist, Alexandre Henri Mouhot, who discovered the temple in 1800s, as well as the great history of Angkor Wat itself.
