National Cheerleading Championship 2013
The National Cheerleading Championship 2013 will be held at GOR Koni, Bandung on 5 May 2013. This event is claimed to be the biggest cheerleading event in Indonesia. Bandung and 3 other cities (Jakarta, Semarang dan Surabaya) are cities where the organiser is selecting teams to perform its in grand final in Surabaya on 12 May 2013. Helarwayang: Festival Apresiasi Wayang Indonesia (Appreciation Festival of Indonesian Wayang)
This is a great event shadow puppet festival Indonesia, which will be held for one week in Bandung city.This year's theme is "Wayang Karya Agung Budaya Dunia" or literally means "Puppet Masterpieces of World Culture". "Festival Apresiasi Wayang Indonesia" will be held from 6 to 12 October 2012 at Gasibu field, Bandung (in front of Gedung Sate). This festival consists of many attractive events, such as Wayang Carnival, Wayang Parade on the Street, as well as breaking MURI record (Indonesia record museum) and Guinness Book Record. HelarFest 2012
HelarFest is an annual festival featuring a series of music performances, food exhibition, installation arts, local art exhibition, and so on. The festival is organized by Bandung Creative City Forum and will be run in a few days and in a few places in Bandung. The first program is "Lighchestra", a live music performance combined with laser and light show, story telling, and so on. It will be held on 5-7 July 2012 at Hutan Kota Dunia Babakan Siliwangi. The second program is "Pruung Out", a food festival, live cooking, and lampion festival which will be conducted on 9-12 August 2012 at Taman Gasibu (in front of Gedung Sate), Bandung. The third program is "Kampoong Festival" on 20-23 September 2012 at Kampung Taman Sari, Bandung. The event is consist of bamboo festival, urban farming, etc. The last program is "Cikapundung River Front Festival" which will held on 26-28 Oktober 2012 at bantaran Sungai Cikapundung (or Cikapundung river bank), Babakan Siliwangi Bandung. There will be river deck plaza and bamboo installations, photography exhibition, olympic river game, lampion festival, and so on. Furthermore, the opening ceremony itself will be held on 6 July 2012 at Hutan Kota Dunia Babakan Siliwangi, Bandung, starting from 7pm. Kemilau Nusantara 2012
Kemilau Nusantara is an annual carnival and parade of Indonesian culture event presented by Department of Tourism and Culture of West Java. This event will feature many traditional culture and arts of various cities in Indonesia, and of course, will include performance from 26 towns in West Java Province, as host of the event. Many cultural event will be held here, such as traditional dances, music, traditional customs, theater show, as well as culinary and craft exhibition. Kemilau Nusantara 2012 will be held on 6 October 2012, at 8am, along Jl. Diponegoro, Bandung. While the exhibition and photography contest will be held on 5-7 October 2012 at Gedung Sate and 6 October 2012, respectively. Don?t miss it!

Group exhibition "Kembara Jiwa: Seni Rupa Kontemporer Malaysia" by Malaysian artists such as Ramlan Abdullah, Jailaini Abu Hassan Junari Said, and so on, will be held for 10 days long, starting from 28 September to 7 October 2012 at Selasar Sunaryo, Jl. The Art Exhibition of Hariyadi Suadi and Radi Arwinda
Father and son artists, Hariyadi Suadi and Radi Arwinda, will collaborate on their exhibition on 14 September-7 October 2012 at Selasar Sunaryo, Jl. Bukit Pakar Timur 100, Bandung. The exhibition is about cultural syncretism by the unique visual icons of Cirebon. "Wayangs" (shadow puppets), antiquities, and action figures also will be displayed. Keuken #3: The Athlete's Feast
For Western and traditional culinary lovers in Bandung, this is a good news for you! Keuken, an annual culinary event will be back this year with more various tenants, such as Batagor Hanimun, Giant Corndog, Kedai Seruput, and many more. Expected, around 26 selected tenants will participate here. This 3rd year?s theme is "The Athlete's Feast". Some famous chefs like Chef Haryo Pramoe, Chef Kala, Chef Mulyadi, and others will do live cooking performances here. Dies Natalis Maha Gotra Ganesha 41: Bali Kreasi

Traditional Art Shows and Art Exhibition
Department of Tourism and Culture of West Java and Taman Budaya Jawa Barat, will hold a traditional art performance and art exhibition in September: "Terebang Sejak" from Garut on 1 September 2012, "Gamelang Ajeng" from Karawang on 8 September 2012, fine art exhibition "Seniman Galeri Teh" and art performace "Wayang Landung" from Ciamis on 15 September 2012, "Wayang Cepak" from Bandung on 22 September 2012, dan "Rengkong Hatong" from Bogor on 29 September 2012. All events will take place at Taman Budaya (Dago Tea House), starting from 7:30pm. So, come and see the traditional arts in West Java!
