Manado and its neighboring towns in the southeast have a different climate. Manado and Bitung, which lie next to the sea are hot and humid (ranging from mid 20's°C to low 30's°C), whereas Tomohon and Tondano are situated on high grounds and have a pleasant yearly average temperature of 22°C (72°F).
However, North Sulawesi has only two seasons: wet and dry seasons, with June to August as their driest months. The highest rainfall normally happens from December to March.
