Currently there is only one airline flying regularly between Singapore-Manado (a code share flight between Silk Air and Garuda Indonesia), which is about 3 hour 40 minutes away, on a jet airplane (Airbus A320). As a reference if you buy tickets well in advance, the all-inclusive-published return air fare from Singapore is approximately US$ 350. To and from Davao, the Philippines, you need to check with Lion Air or Sriwijaya Air office in Manado, since the flights they do are charter flights.
Although Changi Airport of Singapore may be a great transit airport, but for those who dislike airport screenings, this airport may be inconvenience for you, since flights coming from Manado may be subject to additional random tight security check, which then AGAIN you will be tightly-security-screened prior to your next flight. (Note: this additional "security check for arriving and transit passengers" coming from Indonesia doesn't exist in either Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, or many other major transit airports in the world). Unless you love having lots of tight airport security checks, Changi Airport still offers good facilities for transit passengers.
For the latest promotional fares please check with the respective airlines.

Getting In and Out Of The Airport
The main transportation from Sam Ratulangi airport to downtown Manado is served by either taxi or car rental. All taxis from the airport now charge their passengers by meter reading and they are available just after you step out of the arrival hall. It should cost you around Rp. 100,000 to downtown Manado (depending on your distance, of course). Official car rentals charge about Rp. 120,000 to downtown Manado. Usually they operate small SUVs, which might be useful for travelers with much baggage or surf boards or diving equipment. Their administration counter is located inside the arrival hall (the baggage carousel), just before the arrival hall exit doors (see Within Manado for further information on car rental and taxi).
Another option is by taking a mikrolet but you have to walk out of the airport to reach the main road (about 450 meters/500 yards). Angkot from the airport direction goes to Paal 2 Terminal (fare: Rp. 3,000). Paal 2 Terminal, if you want to continue to downtown, take angkot that goes to Pasar 45 Terminal (fare: Rp. 3,000). If you have big luggage, then you might face difficulties if you decide to take a mikrolet. See Within Manado for details on mikrolets.
