Padang Panjang Town

Padang Panjang is located between Padang and Bukittinggi, about 72 kilometers away from Padang. On the way to Padang Panjang (from the city of Padang), you will see many traditional Minangkabau houses, beautiful sceneries of Singgalang and Merapi mountains, while on the other side you will see Bukit Barisan Mountains with lush green trees around. There isn’t much to see in Padang Panjang town itself, but a Minangkabau Village, which is also a cultural tourist destination and it might be worth a visit.

How to get there : take a bus heading to Padang Panjang. It takes about 1.5 hours to get there. Expect to pay Rp.15.000.
