printable version local arts in doha qatar

Local Arts DohaIt is an unfortunate that traditional arts performances are something hard to find in Doha. Traditional music performances and traditional sword-dance are usually performed in local weddings, which are usually held on huge white tent erected on a big empty space. However, the weddings may or may not be available to public.

Other Islamic arts, such as textiles, paintings, photography, sculptures, are available in many museums and a few galleries in Doha. Currently there are a few well known galleries in Doha that display these arts, two of them are listed below (as well as a few galleries in Cultural Village).
